Jennifer Littlefield
Jennifer Littlefield grew up in Wisconsin. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from
the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a master’s degree in museum science from Texas Tech
University, and a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin-
Milwaukee. She moved to Pierre in 1999 to work as curator of collections at the South Dakota
State Historical Society. While at the historical society, Jennifer worked with the Historical
Society Press fact checking articles and writing for their quarterly journal. She also worked in
the archives for several years before moving to Huron in 2017. In Huron, she became the
Reference Librarian at the Huron Public Library where she enjoys helping people find
information and answering genealogical and local history questions.
