Giant Vegetable Judging

New & Enhanced Divisions 15 and 16, Agriculture Plants/Bundles/Bales and Giant Vegetable Divisions will be judged live in the Horticulture Building with oral reasons for placings in each class given by the judges within respective division.  The largest plant specimens will be judged live on site.  Division 15: The tallest and second tallest stalks of corn will receive $50 and $25 respectively, for those placings and first place in the class for Corn, 4 individual stalks and second place in that class will receive $50 and $25, respectively for those placings.  The healthiest appearing and most productive appearing stalk of corn in Class 1 of Division 15 will receive $50.  Division 16: Class 15, “Largest Ear of Field Corn (L + W)” first place will receive $100, and second place will receive $50.  The A winner will be announced following conclusion of judging for each class.  Refer to Exhibitor Handbook pages 25 and 26 for entry details.  There is no pre-registration required for the Giant Vegetable Division 16.  Entry guidance and classes are listed on page 26.  Additional Premiums for Divisions 14, 15 and 16 involving corn are courtesy of the South Dakota Corn.
